And PLEASE identify your item with eBay item number or printed item page - when one is waiting for 20 similar orders, it is difficult to work out which one to leave feedback for!

... ... OVER 90% of eBayers don't identify themselves or their items - this is most irritating.

HOW TO PACK SHEET MUSIC

Especially for single sheets or a small number ...
... At the very least, use a board-backed envelope (15p in bulk from eBay suppliers) ...
... ... Board backed envelopes are pre-printed with "Please do not Bend".  If not, WRITE IT ON.

... Best, add cardboard BOTH SIDES of the music (lightweight fluted cardboard available from supermarket boxes is fine, and cut out with a sharp carving knife is fine)..

CEREAL PACKETS are strong and light and ideal for protecting  most sheet music!

NEVER use a plain envelope.without cardboard as Royal Mail will fold and screw up the music.

NEVER use a padded bag without cardboard as this screws up the music, particularly the corners every time.

BUBBLE WRAP IS NOT good packing for music.

Without cardboard, it will not stay flat.

Large piles should be boxed.  Smaller boxes can be made from larger boxes with a sharp carving knife

... and PLEASE tell me what the auction title/number is.  Please.
HOW NOT TO PACK SHEET MUSIC

1.  Don't bother to square up the pile.
2.  Cut into it with a sharp and tight rubber band
3.  Roll over the edges to make the parcel smaller to fit into the plastic bag.
4.  Place in a plastic bag without cardboard reinforcements
5.  Tell the customer you "thought they didn't care about the condition"
6.  Not understand that there's a difference between not caring about the condition at the time of purchase ...  and destroying the item after selling it!

How not to ... like these examples received recently.:

bad packing

See how the rubber band cuts into the music

bad packing

See how the music was not squared up so it was screwed up at the edges

bad packing

See how the package was not large enough for the largest sheet, so it was screwed up at the sides, top and bottom.

bad packing

And now for one that was wrapped in nothing but a sheet of paper - re-wrapped by Royal Mail

bad packing

And another from 2011 - well packed in a box and bubble wrap, but not squared up!
